What if I can't find a course?
We’re regularly reviewing and adding new courses so please contact us if you can’t see what you're looking for.
Is online learning an option?
Some of our courses are delivered online or a mix of online and on-campus. Please visit the specific course you’re interested in for further information or view our Distance Learning page.
How will my Access course help me prepare for university?
All of our Access to HE courses are designed to give you the skills and UCAS points required to pursue a degree or higher-level qualification.
When will I study?
Most of our courses for adults run on an evening(s) during the week, term-time only at our Sim Balk Lane campus. Some courses, such as Access to HE and degree-level study, will run during the daytime.
Please visit the specific course you’re interested in for future information.
What finance and funding is available?
For our professional qualifications the fee you pay depends on a number of criteria, for example: your age, previous studies, the level of the course and whether the course is full or part-time.
All of our course fees are listed on each individual course page. Some of our courses are free to those who do not already have the qualification level they wish to study. For example, if you want to study GCSE English and do not already have a GCSE in English at grade C/4 or above, then the course is free. If you do already have the qualification at grade C/4 or above, a fee would be payable.
Some of our courses are also free to people who have a low income or receive certain benefits. For other courses you may be eligible to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan. See below for details on funding your course, if you are still unsure then do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your eligibility with an experienced advisor.
Visit theCourse Funding for Adults page for further information.
Where can my course take me?
Our course offering has also been mindful of our students’ ability to progress. This is with both career progression and on to higher-level study. You will find ‘your next steps’ information on each course page.
