TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values
The purpose of the qualification is to develop students' knowledge, understanding and skills to enable them to uphold British values in their current or future job role. This includes developing an understanding of the effects of extremism, radicalisation, and terrorism.
The course discusses the aims of Safeguarding, the Prevent duty and British Values in promoting equality, diversity, and social inclusion in the workplace to support the Government’s agenda on tackling radicalisation and extremism. Students will develop the skills required to recognise the signs of radicalisation and extremism and will gather an understanding on how to best prevent them. The qualification also develops your knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and online safety.

Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, however, learners should have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

- The Importance of British Values
- The Importance of Safety Online
- The Prevent Duty and its Importance in Society

All materials are provided for you to complete the course. However, you will need access to a PC/laptop and suitable Wi-Fi to access teaching and learning.

*Most students over the age of 19 will be able to study these courses for free, however, please contact us if you’re aged 19-23 and do not yet have a full Level 2 qualification (five GCSEs grade 9-4/A*-C, NVQ Level 2 or higher) as additional eligibility criteria may apply.
