Cookery School: Beyond Meat Plant-Based Cookery
Over this 5-week course, our Head Chef, Gio Achenza, will teach students to prepare a range of nutritious, affordable, and most importantly delicious dishes that are entirely plant based. Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, looking to reduce your environmental impact, improve health and wellbeing or just looking for ways to spice up your plant-based cooking, this course is for you.
With global recipes ranging from Asian to Italian flavours and building on the cookery skills of producing pasta, pastry, curries and desserts with only plant-based ingredient, this 5-week course will expand your plant-based cookery repertoire with budget friendly and incredibly tasty meals to liven up your mealtimes or impress friends and family.
No prior cookery experience is needed to join this class, so if you’re in a mealtime rut, Gio is here to help with tips and guidance on how to whip up a range of plant-based delights.
All items produced can be taken home for you to enjoy or share.
Any dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances can be accommodated within the menu for the day. Please contact Gio directly at gachenza@yorkcollege.ac.uk to discuss any specific requirements.
